Adhering to the principle that "Health is Wealth," NEAR Foundation prioritises the establishment of an adequate healthcare delivery system in rural communities and public schools facing critical medical needs. In pursuit of this humanitarian mission, the foundation undertakes the following projects.

Cataract Surgeries

The foundation conducts free cataract surgeries for less privileged individuals in rural and suburban communities. These surgeries are carried out in collaboration with Nizamiye Hospital in Abuja. To date the foundation has successfully completed over 680 Cataract, Pterygium, Glaucoma, Retinal detachment Surgeries.

Health Screening

The NEAR Foundation organises free healthcare screening programs, diagnosing and treating patients in collaboration with volunteer doctors from Nizamiye Hospital and many graduates of the Nigerian Tulip International Colleges. These screenings have served over 11,000 individuals in seven (7) states, providing much-needed medical care to underserved communities in IDP camps, orphanage homes, rural villages, and government-owned schools.

Emergency Surgeries

The foundation conducts various surgeries for patients facing urgent life-or-death situations especially when the patient is unable to afford the necessary surgical procedures.

Medical Donation

In complementing the healthcare delivery system in Nigeria, the foundation raises funds to procure medical supplies, including drugs and surgical equipment. These supplies are then donated to public schools, as well as clinics and dispensaries in communities.
